Abstract

Budaya suporter sepak bola telah berkembang dari sekadar aktivitas mendukung pertandingan menjadi bentuk identitas sosial, modal budaya, dan gerakan masyarakat yang mampu membangun kohesi sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis bagaimana budaya suporter Aremania di Indonesia dan suporter Selangor di Malaysia membentuk identitas kolektif, keterlibatan komunitas, serta aktivisme sosial melalui perspektif Social Identity Theory dan Resource Mobilization Theory. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif komparatif dengan digital ethnography melalui observasi media sosial, dokumentasi komunitas suporter, serta studi literatur. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan thematic analysis terhadap bentuk-bentuk ekspresi budaya suporter seperti chanting, koreografi, penggunaan simbol, kegiatan sosial, dan mobilisasi komunitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua kelompok suporter memiliki karakteristik yang sama dalam membangun identitas kolektif melalui loyalitas terhadap klub, solidaritas antarsuporter, serta aktivitas sosial di luar stadion. Namun demikian, Aremania menunjukkan orientasi komunitas yang lebih kuat melalui berbagai kegiatan kemanusiaan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat, sedangkan suporter Selangor lebih menonjolkan pelestarian identitas lokal yang berkaitan dengan warisan budaya dan kebanggaan regional. Penelitian ini mengembangkan konsep Football Supporter Community Capital sebagai integrasi antara identitas sosial, aktivisme suporter, dan keberlanjutan budaya lokal. Temuan ini memperluas literatur mengenai supporter culture di Asia Tenggara sekaligus memberikan implikasi praktis bagi pengelolaan klub sepak bola dan pengembangan kebijakan olahraga berbasis komunitas.
